The gathering that I organized on 13th of December 2007 was quite a success…
At least my efforts of trying to contact all my primary school friends through:
1. Instant Messaging
2. Old phone books
3. Getting numbers through other friends, etc…
Most of the numbers in my phone book just gives me: “The Singtel number you’ve just dialled is not in use…”
In the end, I managed to get 15 friends to come along! Which I think was quite a success since this is my first time being an organizer for an event. In the beginning, most of my friends wouldn’t come because of the itinerary: ZOO. As I thought that it had been raining these days, I decided not to take the risk of wasting $16.50 X 15 and so I changed the venue to Marina Square and the activity was to watch a movie and have lunch.
We went there but as some were hungry, they went to the food court to fill their stomachs. Then we missed the 11.00am show: The Golden Compass. After they had their food, the boys suggested going to the arcade. GAMING!!
While they were gaming, I bought 15 tickets which costs: S$105. Thanks to being a Golden Village Movie Club Member (which I registered on 11th Dec and collected the card on 12th), I got a free GOLD CLASS movie ticket at GV worth $25!! I just need to buy 10 tickets to get one… I’ll need five more to get the 2nd ticket… Thanks friends!! hehehe…
I bought 1.35pm tickets…
Then we had lunch at Mac…
And we went to the arcade again and I played a fighter aircraft game, complete with realistic joy stick and a thruster and a pilot’s seat… And a seatbelt… WTF??? SEAT BELT? Never mind, I put 2 coins in and it asked me to put on seatbelts?!?!?!? ok, then it started… the seat turns and jerks and twists! the screen does that too! so realistic until I was about to puke when i got off it…
